Freak the Mighty – Robot Body
Freak tells Max about a “special operation” that is being planned in the Special Bionics Unit in the hospital that will give him a robot body so his body will be the same as everyone else. In Chapter 21 Freak says, “The bionic research continues, my friend. The work goes on.”
1. Why does Freak continue to tell Max this story?
2. How would you feel if a friend was telling you this story?

Freak tells Max that he is getting this transplant because he might want to be the same as others and he doesen’t want to stand out in his class. If a friend would tell me this i would ask why just like Max did to Freak. I wouldn’t believe them but i would act like i do so they wouldn’t feel bad!!!

Freaks and Max are best friends. Freak feels all right around max.
I would be worryed at first. Then I would think that it is there life.
I would want them to be happy and say I believe them and I might truley believe them.
I don’t really know why he does keep telling this story but what i don’t get is why he doesn’t just the truth. If a friend was telling me this story I would get mad because they don’t have to keep any secret between us. And if they did tel the story I’d probally beleive. I would fall for it knowing me
He cepts telling that because he will be cool. I wouldn’t beleive him any more. No because that is crazy.

1. He keeps on telling Max the story because Max keeps on asking him when he is going to get his robotic legs.
2. If a friend told me this story I would believe him or at least try to believe him if he actually showed me the place like Freak did to Max.
3. I would believe him because you do see people with fake legs and so that means that Freak could have fake legs too.

He tells Max this because he will get a surgery type thing because he doesn’t want to be different from anyone else. I would probably be like what and probably think about it. No because I don’t think there is a thing like a robot boy. If there was that would be awesome!
It’s kind of like a lifetime goal to Freak. He really wants his new body and he wants it soon. That is why it’s like a lifetime want/goal. He has too small of a body so, he wants and needs a new body. The fair Gwen doesn’t know about Freak’s secret plan, but once he gets his new body, the fair Gwen will definetly find out about it. Freak is telling Max about it, because he is looking forward to this and he will be the first to have a robot body.
If one of my best friends told me that they needed a robot body, at first I’d be really worried and I’d cheer my best friend on. Then I’d have my friend show me the research place that was giving my friend a new body.
I would believe my best friend because she is shorter than the rest, so yes I would believe her if she had proof!!!! =) Hailey Sieverding =)

Freak keeps telling the story because he knows hes going to die soon so he wants to hope for something more. I would feel really bad and I would want to be in his place so he wouldn’t have to be a in so much pain and I wouldn’t have to watch him go through it. yes because I’ve see some body with a robot body and I’ve seen how much pain it put them in.:)

He continues to tell this story because he doesn’t want Max to know that he was going to die young. Also because I think that gives himself a little selfconfidents. I would feel hurt because I would want to know the truth. It depends if they were my best friend or not. If they were just a good friend then I might have believed them.

1. Freak (Kevin) knows he will die so he tells Max (the Mighty) that he will be changed so Max doesn’t worry.
2. I would fell sad that my friend lied but I also would fell that he/she felt that he/she needed to lie to keep the friend from worrying about him/her of dieing.
3. I would belive that they were dying because of a desies but I would not belive the story they tell to make me not worry about their death.

bradly beschen i think he tells the storys because he dose not whant max to freak out. i would be ok with it because he did not want me to wery. no because what hapens if the mess up.

Freak tells Max because he is getting surgery done that is seposed to make him look normal. I think freak knew he was going to die. I’m not sure how I would react, but it might not be in a good way. Well I’m guessing. Yes, because I know something is wrong with how he grew and stuff like that.
